Superintendent -

Dr. Jeffrey R. Crook was named Superintendent of Hampshire County Schools effective November 3, 2015. He was previously an Assistant Superintendent in Mineral County, West Virginia. Before working in Mineral County, he was most recently employed as a principal at Olympic High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Crook began his career in 1994 as a teacher and coach at Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia. He later worked as a school improvement coordinator and assistant principal at the high school. Crook then served as an assistant principal at Lee-Davis High School in Ashland, Virginia, before becoming principal at Patrick Henry High School in Ashland and then principal at another Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, Virginia.

Crook received a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education and a Master of Science degree in education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He achieved his Doctor of Education degree in educational leadership and policy studies from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
