Romney Elementary School, a school-wide Title I school ,  serves approximately 450 students in grades PreK-5. The school opened in 1951 expanding into the intermediate building (old middle/jr. high) in 2005.

Hampshire High Offers Free After-School Tutoring for Any Student Plus Dinner & Transportation Tutoring for math and other subjects is Monday - Thursday from 3:30 - 5:30 followed by dinner. At 6, two buses run - one to Capon Bridge & Slanesville and the other to Romney, Purgitsville & Springfield. Encourage students to stay for this program.
