Acceptable Use (AUP) Forms:
The following Acceptable Use Policies (AUP) agreements must be read, completed and signed before students and staff may use the Internet, email or other computer programs in the schools:
WVDE MS 365 Email Applications:
WVDE MS 365 email accounts ending in @k12.wv.us are the only email accounts to be used within the school system. The following email applications must be completed, signed and handed in to obtain an account. These email accounts are assigned by the West Virginia Department of Education and are for educational purposes.

NOTE: The new Microsoft 365 Exchange email system and online portal includes 5 free versions of MS Office software for each user including all staff and students. Please make every effort to update your email address in all applications and locations. Your email username and password are also (in most cases) your single signon for Webtop and other WVDE platforms.

Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and e-Rate
All persons within the school system should be familiar with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) which establishes guidelines overseeing Internet use in the schools. In particular, it addresses protecting students from accessing potentially inappropriate material online and from disclosure of personal information about students on the web.
