[ARCHIVED] Free breakfast and lunch meals to be distributed by school bus drivers in county - see details...

From Calvin Davis, Transportation Supervisor for Hampshire County Schools:.
In light of the events that have closed all Hampshire County Schools, one of our most prevalent issues is the nutrition of our students throughout our county.  Monday, bus operators, superintendents and directors met to organize and expedite a plan to see that our county students are fed.  This opportunity is free to all Hampshire County students.  Starting on Tuesday, March 17th   our school bus operators will be making calls to all parents on their bus routes to organize and deliver breakfast and hot school lunches to anyone that would like to take part in this program.  Please let your driver know if you would like to participate and how many school students are in your household that need these breakfasts and lunches. or if you don’t get a call, please feel free to contact the transportation office at 304-496-1504 on Wednesday and give us your information.  Buses will run and drop off at bus stops needed, and at specific location along main highways, such as Rt. 50, 28, 29, 220, 259 and Rt. 9.  Thank you for your patience and we hope to have this in effect very soon.  You will get a call as to when this program will start.  Again, thank you for your participation.
