[ARCHIVED] IMPORTANT - MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL FAMILIES MAY NOW QUALIFY FOR FREE/REDUCED MEALS

“Parents/Guardians of middle and high school students – We realize many households have experienced a significant loss of income due to COVID-19 business closures. At this time, if you believe your household would now qualify for free/reduced price meals – we invite you to complete an application using School Café. That can be accessed by visiting https://www.schoolcafe.com/.  If your student already received free/reduced price meals during the school year – prior to the COVID-19 closures, you do not need to complete another application at this time. This instruction is only for households that believe they would now qualify for free/reduced meals.

We want to encourage you to complete an application even though schools are doing remote learning – because federal benefit programs that are becoming available due to COVID-19 may be tied to your child’s free/reduced price meal status.  If at any time your situation changes, you may contact the board office or update your meal pricing application in School Café.”

(Please note that all elementary children already receive free meals so they do not need to apply.)
