Yes, we encourage students to complete the assigned classroom work to reach their fullest potential. All work completed by students will be graded. Teacher have been grading snow packets days 3-5 and instructional materials assigned through April 30th and posting grades. The student engagement packets (available after April 20th) will then be VALUE ADDED in order to help the student. . The student engagement activities will be graded on a scale of 6-10. VALUE ADDED points of 6 -10 will be added to the overall student grade in each subject for the 4th nine weeks. Grade may not exceed 100%. Students do not have to complete instructional packets or student engagement activities if they continued their online work with their teachers.

How will my child be graded for the 4th nine weeks?
Staff must adhere to one of two calculations and assign a grade whichever provides the greatest benefit to students.
- Teachers grade all work assigned by the teacher during the 4th nine weeks. This would include the Snow Packets Days 3, 4, and 5, Instructional Packet, and any online assignments given through Live Grades. Students needed to complete the work. Teachers grade the work with the thought in mind that they are looking at effort not accuracy. If student attempts to complete the work and turns something in, teachers may not give a grade lower than a 70. Next, Teachers will review engagement activities per subject and assign a VALUE ADDED point of 6 -10 to be added to the overall student grade in each subject. Grade may not exceed 100% in any given subject for the 4th nine weeks.
- Average the grades from Nine Weeks 1, 2, and 3.
