Class of 2021: End of Year Events (Senior Celebrations)

Purpose/Goal

1. Give the Class of 2021 something special/meaningful as their high school journey at HHS comes to a close.
2. Focus on the positives…of course we wish we could provide our seniors with everything at 100%, but it is not possible due to the current conditions and guidelines we must follow.  Let’s enjoy and celebrate what we can control.

The Process

1. Administrators, board office, lead nurse, and health department (guidance and guidelines) met several times to go over the plan for end of year events.
2. Based on these meetings we were able to finalize dates, times, locations, and limitations for each event.

Cap & Gown Pick-up Schedule   

1. Wednesday, April 14^th during end of 4^th block for in-person seniors
2. Virtual learners can pick-up during school hours 8:00-4:00 in the Commons starting April 15^th.

Senior Day at HHS

1. Friday, April 30^th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (Virtual Learning Day)
2. Transportation provided on bus if needed (survey)
3. Stadium area
4. Field Day / Picnic
5. Fun and games
6. Food and drinks (bring a large blanket for the field)
7. Virtual and in-person seniors only
8. Must area on time and stay for entire event

Senior Prom at HHS

1. Saturday, May 15^th between 8:00-11:00 pm
2. Gymnasium, Cafeteria, and back Parking Lot
3. HHS seniors only (no guest)…virtual and in-person seniors only
4. Free!

Last day for seniors 

1. Friday, May 21^st (if all requirements are met)

Baccalaureate

1. Sunday, May 23^rd (times and locations to be determined)

Senior Recognition Night (Awards and Scholarships)

1. Wednesday, May 26^th 6:00 pm in the auditorium
2. Recipients will receive an invitation letter with details of the event

Graduation Practice

1. Friday, May 28^th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am
2. Bus transportation will be provided for seniors that need transportation to and from practice (survey)

Graduation at HHS

1. Friday, May 28^th at 6:00 pm
   1. Rannells Field
   2. Graduation ceremony for seniors and 4 members of their family
   3. Family members will sit in the home side bleachers
   4. 4 tickets given to each senior (only 4 per senior allowed)
   5. A guess list will be at the front gate for family members to check-in
   6. Only 4 family members with tickets and their name on the guest list will be permitted to attend graduation
   7. We will be live streaming the ceremony
   8. Additional information will be provided at a later date
2. Saturday, May 29^th at 10:00 am - Rain Date 
   1. Every opportunity will take place to have the ceremony outside on the field.
   2. Same format – 4 tickets per senior allowed
   3. If weather does not permit us to have a ceremony outside on the field and we are forced to go inside…we will move inside to the auditorium with seniors only (no family or guest allowed) and it will be live streamed for families and friends

Athletic Awards
