[ARCHIVED] ****PSAT/NMSQT October 13th at HHS****

The PSAT/NMSQT (Pre-SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is given annually to 10TH or 11TH GRADE STUDENTS.  As part of the SAT Suite of Assessments, it’s designed to help prepare students for the SAT. Historically, students who took the PSAT/NMSQT scored higher on the SAT, on average, than those who didn’t take the test. (Get the Practice)

Students who take the PSAT/NMSQT in 11TH grade may meet requirements to receive the National Merit® Scholarship, a highly competitive scholarship program that awards the top 7 to 8 thousand students across the country annually with a $2500 scholarship.

This test is completely OPTIONAL for all students at Hampshire High School.  The cost to take the test is $18 per student, which is paid by the student.   Students who take the PSAT/NMSQT will still be required to take the PSAT or SAT in the spring.

The PSAT/NMSQT test 2021-22 will take place October 13th at HHS.   Please see Mr. Nichols by September 24th if you are interested in taking this test.
